ABOUT TIKI TIME

Aloha,  Coach Carol here ready to teach your kids how to swim.  Water is my second home.  I love being in the water, especially sharing that love with kids.  I think swimming is a life skill like reading and writing.  Picture yourself being 6 years old and not getting to enjoy the pool party because you are not a confident swimmer.   Then put your parent hat on, you are worried about your child too.  That’s not fun for you either.  Let’s change that and teach your kids to respect the water and enjoy it at the same time.  It will have such a positive effect on your child, both physically and mentally.  That’s the experience I want for every kid that jumps in my pool.

One day I was working out at the YMCA and stopped to watch some swim lessons.  I thought it looked like fun, so I asked if they were hiring swim instructors.  My first job after becoming a stay-at-home mom, YMCA swim instructor.   I still teach at the YMCA, but not swimming.    I teach  group exercise classes four days a week, which I truly enjoy.  I teach and practice yoga on and off the mat every day.    I love all things Hawaiian, thus the name Tiki Time Swim School.  Our family are fans of Tiki Oasis in San Diego, where more (tons more) like minded people meet for a weekend of fun and tiki.  I can blend in wearing my many muu muus.  Yes, you heard that right!  I enjoying playing in the ocean and will grab my board, if the waves look good.

I am certified in CPR and AED/First Aid
